Swine Influenza Safety Protocol

Avoid the Virus:
  • Carry a handkerchief or Kleenex tissue pack
  • Cough and Sneeze into Kleenex, handkerchief, or clothing
  • Don't touch your nose, eyes, or face before you wash or sanitize your
  • hands
  • Wash hands or use Hand-Sanitizer every hour or so
  • Avoid face contacts
Improve your Defenses each day:
  • Get eight (8) hours of sleep
  • Drink eight (8) glasses of fluids (or equivalent)
  • Cut down consumption of sugar & sweets
  • Cut down on Fats, oils, and large meals
  • Eat 3 - 5 Servings of Vegetables each day
  • Eat 2 - 4 Servings of Fruit per day
  • Take One-a-day vitamins
  • Get some exercise each day
Report to Nurse or Doctor When you have:
  • Combined Fever and Sore throat (with or without runny nose)
  • Continuing Cough
  • Generalized head and body aches
